The Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Cancun (part of Blue Diamond Resorts, the hotel division of Sunwing Travel Group) is in the process of finishing the last few details before its opening. The idyllic setting Playa Mujeres will welcome a new hotel complex this spring, full of Hollywood glamour and with cinematic luxury as its main hallmark. With a range of first-class services and facilities for electricity and telecommunications with maximum efficiency (provided by Estel Ingeniería y Obras), the establishment aims to become a leading resort in the Mexican Caribbean.
The Canadian company has relied on our expertise in comprehensive management of installations in the Caribbean to offer the very best service to its customers. We addressed required actions related to electricity (low and medium voltage), air conditioning, plumbing and hydraulics (sanitary hot and cold water, sanitation, rainwater systems…) in the engine room. Our multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians were also in charge of executing technical control of the buildings, known as BMS (Building Management System).
The various solutions are based on our professional experience and we used the most advanced technological components available to ensure that the hotel complex can benefit from the following, among other things:
- Optimised expenses
-
- Reduced consumption
- Responsible environmental management
- Maximum energy savings
- Automated buildings
- Reliable prevention systems
- Etc.
A getaway to the Mexican Caribbean, just like in the movies
Once this new hotel complex with its 1,027 luxurious rooms has opened, it will become the largest all-inclusive resort of all the Planet Hollywood Hotels, leaving the establishment the chain opened in Costa Rica in late 2018 in second place. Guests will be able to enjoy multiple services and a variety of activities (four pools, a trampoline park, a slow river, 12 restaurants, 10 bars, a miniature golf course, a kids’ club, a spa…) Also, following the brand’s guiding principle, visitors will be surrounded by memorabilia from the film industry and have access to the best Hollywood fitness regimes, together with a range of thematic experiences that are tailored to different audience groups.
At the moment Sunwing has 5 hotels in Mexico, 5 in Jamaica, 20 in Cuba, 6 in the Dominican Republic and other resorts throughout Costa Rica, Antigua, Tobago, Barbados, Saint Lucia… With this future hotel in Cancun, the brand strengthens its presence in Quintana Roo, one of the tourist areas par excellence in the Mexican Caribbean.
The works carried out at the establishment once again reaffirms Estel’s international presence in the Caribbean and the assignment is added to more than 200 hotel projects carried out in countries such as Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. Our subsidiaries and offices in the area provide professional teams with extensive experience, capable of covering any needs related to engineering, installations and maintenance in the American region.
