Building the recovery of consumption, economy and tourism<\/h3>\n

Last Wednesday took place at the Teatro Goya in Madrid<\/strong> the XVII edition of the Hosteltur Forum<\/strong>, in which Estel wanted to be present and contribute as far as possible to support Hosteltur and the tourism sector.<\/p>\n

The Forum dealt with all the current issues, where the geopolitical and geoeconomic panorama is implicit and how it influences and will influence the tourism sector, as well as the challenges and the main objectives that the tourism sector has set in the short term, such as digitization, sustainability, and talent retention in the sector since, in these last two years, due to the pandemic, it has been greatly affected.<\/p>\n

Former minister Josep Piqu\u00e9 and Fernando D\u00edaz, president of Deloitte Spain, shed light on the causes and consequences of the current situation and how it will affect the Spanish economy and the country’s competitiveness.<\/p>\n

The first panel was dedicated to the new leaders of the Spanish hotel industry in the world: Joan Trian Riu, Managing Director of RIU Hotels & Resorts; Abel Matutes Prats, President of Palladium Hotel Group; Marina L\u00f3pez Sanjurjo, Corporate Director of Grupo Hotusa; moderated by David Rodr\u00edguez, Managing Partner of Transport, Hospitality and Services of Deloitte Spain.<\/p>\n

The second-round table was moderated by Gin\u00e9s Mart\u00ednez, CEO of Jumbo Tours, with the participation of Jorge Schoenenberger, CEO of Viajes El Corte Ingl\u00e9s Group, and Migue \u00c1ngel S\u00e1nchez, CEO of \u00c1voris, under the title “The challenges of large groups”.<\/p>\n

There was a third-round table dedicated to “The challenges of hotel owners and managers” with the participation of Javier \u00c1guila, President for Europe of Apple Leisure Group; Ra\u00fal Gonz\u00e1lez, CEO EMEA of Barcel\u00f3 Hotel Group; Alejandro Hern\u00e1ndez-Pu\u00e9rtolas, CEO of HIP (Hotel Investment Partners), moderated by Xavier Tr\u00edas, partner in charge of Technology Consulting and Leader of the Tourism sector in Consulting, EY Spain.<\/p>\n

The closing session “Challenges in distribution in the face of constant change” was moderated by Ricardo Fern\u00e1ndez, Managing Director of Destinia, together with Maria Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez Sol\u00e1s, Commercial and Network Development and Alliances Director of Iberia; Mar Mu\u00f1oz, Technology & Innovation Managing Director of \u00c1voris; and Francisca M\u00e9rida, Senior Director of Corporate Sales Strategy of Meli\u00e1 Hotels International.<\/p>\n
